“Dearest Beyoncé”: Myanmar Activists Beg American Brands to Help Them End the Military Coup

One evening in March, Nann, a 20-year-old medical student in eastern Myanmar, sat in bed with her phone and composed a Twitter message to Beyoncé. “Dearest @Beyonce, #Myanmar people love you & your music,” she wrote first.
