OCTOBER STYLE BEE READER FAVOURITES

Posted by admin on

Happy Sunday folks! I’ve been keen to try out a new series that I’m calling Monthly Reader Favourites, which will be a quick roundup of the pieces that I’ve noticed Style Bee Readers loving throughout the month.

I personally enjoy this type of content from other bloggers and always find it interesting to see what non-influencers are actually interested in. My hope is that the series will help to connect you with pieces that you might have missed and could be a great fit for your closet needs.

As a fun side note, my career actually began in graphic design and I love putting together these graphics. I always gather new outfit ideas and find the exercise of assembling images so satisfying.

If you’re interested read on for my two-cents on this months most clicked and shopped items!

1 // 90’s CHEEKY JEANS in Medium Blue – These are definitely one of my favourite pairs of jeans. I’m wearing them as I type this! I recently ordered another pair in the Vintage Mid-Blue wash and can’t wait to get those into rotation.

Size note: If you’re between sizes go for the one below and reference the garment size chart to be sure. For example, I go between a 26 and 27 in denim and the 26 is still relaxed on me.

2 // OVERSIZE ALPACA CREW – I’m so glad I shared a proper review of this piece after years of wearing it. It’s clear that Style Bee readers are also fans because a lot of you already had one and many were inspired to try it out. I personally ordered it in two new colours (Spruce and Warm Taupe) during the flash sale.

3 // AVERDON COAT IN HERRINGBONE INSULUXE FABRIC – I’m shocked that this one is still so well stocked because it’s under $500 CAD (including duties) and made from fully traceable wool (with a touch of cashmere) that’s said to be super warm.

4 // ORGANIC COTTON CREW – This piece has been a reader favourite for years and after my spotlight on white t-shirts it got an extra boost in popularity. This is a personal favourite base tee to wear under knits and just a true classic staple.

5 // LAGUNA CHELSEA BOOT – I shared these as an alternate option for my Corticella Suede Boots since they quickly sell out and I know suede isn’t for everyone. This style comes in lots of colours and the proportions are just right for a lug tread boot that’s not too chunky.

6 // EVERYDAY CARDIGAN in TAUPE15% Off with LEE15 – This staple cardigan has been a steady favourite since I mentioned it in my Cocoon Cardigan Review. It’s $175 USD, which is more approachable than the Cocoon (at $445 USD) and it has a leaner fit. I think this would be really great for a workwear capsule and transitions perfectly into more casual looks as well.

7 // SARAH PATCH POCKET BELTED WOOL COAT – This looks like a really great dupe for The Classic Camel Coat (which I still love and highly recommend) but at a lower price point, $199 USD, which I expect is largely due to being made of 100% merino wool instead of a cashmere blend. It comes in a lovely range of colours too.

8 // SWEATER COMB – This tool is an absolute MUST for anyone who wears knits and wants to keep them looking good without excessive dry cleaning. All knitwear will pill, even high quality knits, so invest in one of these to keep it looking like new. See a step-by-step demo in this post.

9 // THE CORDUROY WIDE-LEG PANT – I shared these as an alternative to some straight leg pants in this post and I actually think I like them more. Cords have a cozy feel and I love the texture they add to a look. I’m currently debating between the Sandstone and Toasted Coconut because black cords and corgis are not a good mix!

THANKS FOR READING!

I hope you enjoyed this little peek BTS at what other Style Bee Readers are interested in and that it offers some helpful insights. I’m looking forward to seeing what the November favourites are!
